The 2015/2016 Wool-Mark Prize award ceremony was held on Feb 12th in New York, during the famous New York Fashion Week. In the final contest, there was the South Korean brand JKOO competing for the international prize in the sector of Merino wool for women. We met JKOO – already winner for Asian area – some time ago in Milan.

Jinwoo Choi and Yeonjoo Koo are the makers of the success of this brand in which wife and husband work together creating “neutral” clothes, able to put in evidence the femininity of women from any corner of the world, as from Seoul or New York.
As we can see from the SS 2016 collection, the philosophy JKOO is based on is the creation of an international collection, not a collection featuring traditional taste. Clothes for the next season take inspiration from the Dècollage technique and stand out thanks to the celebration of the “visual” aspect, by the use of two colors: white and black.
