A short time ago we met two young Korean talented designers, Gyo Kim and Yuni Choe.
This dynamic duo is the creator of Gyo Yuni Kimchoe brand. They took their first steps in the fashion world in the chaotic New York City where Gyo Kim studied at the Parson school of design. The long way to the success passed also for London where in 2011 Gyo continued his studies at the Central Saint Martins while Yuni Choe attended the Ravensbourne College of Art London.
The last picture of this attractive duo has been immortalized during the Fashion Scout dedicated to young designers sponsoring their first catwalks. In 2014 they have won the Merit Award.
Gyo Yuni Kimchoe want to improve the world using their collection and with this aim they offer a deep social analysis of our time. The choice of combining fashion and social commitment is their brand’s distinctive feature.
During the last catwalks of London Fashion Week they showed dresses with floral inserts which exalted the image of a gardener/warrior.
SS2015 collection is characterized by eco-friendly patterns, it draws its inspiration from the philosophy of Respect Of Life and Nature. This collection gives us a message about peace and ecology which underlines their task to protect the environment and to stand out social topics.
Weed Gardener Corps is this. Fashion doesn’t want to produce just new looks and to create new trends but it is a social phenomenon which influences our thinking and our behavior.
A great occasion to have our eyes on these two young designers that we can’t miss at all!
