The Garçons of Au Jour Le Jour SS15 collection seem to arrive from a long night before the exams. Asymmetric shirts, paillette unicorns on sweatshirts matching with mat colour shorts. Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquezare the enfant prodige and they have created garments for a new generation which is ready to face the final exam in the classroom of Pitti Uomo 86. The name of this brand is showed with Pitti Italics, a project of Pitti Discovery Foundation that supports new talents of Made in Italy every year.
Classic blazer, cropped trousers and bomber jacket inspired by college style are the pieces of a new school “under 18” uniform. The soft coats mixed quilted squared nylon and vertical lines while woolens are full of openworks and jaquard marquetry of multicolor micro geometries. White and pastel colours take turns with tartan graphics. These elements are the setting of irreverent prints. Pencils, glues, school buses, rubbers, alphabetic letters and apples are drawn on the garments.
Don’t expect model students! Look at the draw of the donkey with the hat which is the symbol of punishment. So the shaped bags seem to be animals such as lions, rhinos and jellyfish. The collection is completed thanks to sandals with a double buckle on the side which have a high para rubber and leather of different colours.
