A strong and brave woman, ready to face whoever and whatever is on her path. That is the icon of Apocalypse Me Now, the SS 2016 collection by the designer Liselore Frowijn.
Abandoned the concept of the last season – read it here -, for the next SS16 the young Flemish designer creates a personal and elegant collection, able to put in evidence any woman’s femininity, through comfortable, vintage or sexy dresses.
Apocalypse Me Now draws inspiration from the kaleidoscopic Color Bands by the American artist Sol Lewitt, who become famous for his conceptual and minimal art. Just like Lewitt, Liselore too has launched herself into a bold combination of styles and colors: fresh primary colors are alternated with animal printings, classical motives and geometric figures.
Why do we love it? Liselore Frowijn perfectly represents the modern, young, strong and determined woman. And, moreover, volumes and silhouettes we see in Apocalypse Me Now highlight the best this kind of woman.
